Highlight of 2017 Best Events
I left 2017 with only two updates, honestly, I can say that 2017 was my very hectic year. I have no semester break since it was filled with my internship at Terengganu State Museum for three months and both semesters that I went through for the past year required me so much attention and focus (seriously? haha) well, my busy-ness also due to the commitment given to the society project, all the meetings, gatherings, activities and etc.
I realized how packed my schedule in 2017 until I abandoned this blog. So for this new year, I have made new azam that I will give a life back to this blog. I will be writing more and more because in this year it will be numerous of the awesome journey to be discovered. InshaAllah. So before I go further, InshaAllah let me do some highlight of 2017 journey.
Let's do this!
1. In 2017 I was still loyal to the Secretariat of History and Civilization (HISTFORIUM). Been appointed as an Assistant Head of Exco Education.
Mass Gathering of History major.
HISTFEST 2017
HISTFEST 2017
2. I joined UMission Club as a volunteer for Global Ummatic Outreach to Thailand 4.0
This was my first experience involved in volunteer activity outside the border of Malaysia.
3. I attended for MT4T, Mahallah Training for Trainee. Basically, all of my roommates involved excluded Mashitah since she wasn't one of the BRC. This camping took place at Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang. So, in 2017 I gained an experienced to sleep in a tent.
4. I went to Sabah, and this happened after almost 5 years of daydreaming to reach Sabah. It was also my first experience to fly across the South China Sea. I was so amazed to see the beautiful scenery of Kundasang, Mount Kinabalu, the waterfall of Kiansom (where I was forced to jump from the rock into the water.. very high maa as for the 1st experience doing it.. haha so malay english translation), also I miss the taste of sotong celup tepung at Kanon (I dont know is it a right spelling or not).
I'm really thankful to Oshin and her family for very good hospitality while my 6 days visit in Sabah. Plus aunty was so nice by packing a box of ikan masin from Filipino Market for me to bring back to Kelantan. Banyak kot!
I wish to have a second visit to Sabah, and wanna spend more time in Kundasang coz my first visit I stayed at KK, so we went to Kundasang a bit late then I wasnt able to see the peak of Mount Kinabalu from the Dairy Farm. InshaAllah, ada rezeki boleh pergi lagi.

5. I was responsible as an Assistant Program Manager 1 for the program organized by HISTFORIUM. This program was named as Young Historian 2017 and for me, this is one of the most unforgetful experience handling program in my life.
It costs a great sacrifice with a lot of meetings here and there. Less sleep and rest until I was so worried about my study since I really short of time to do revision what else for the assignment. But Alhamdulillah Allah sent me a great team and we managed to encounter the problem the best as we could.
This event involved many places such as IIUM, ISTAC, Dataran Merdeka, KL Historical Trail, Memorial Tunku Abdul Rahman and so on. Also, we managed to get a good cooperation with the sponsor of this event such as Istac, Persatuan Sejarah KL, Restaurant Nelayan Gombak and many more.
Here i want to deliver my utmost gratitude for all of the hard work and effort given by the members of HISTFORIUM and also the committees of the program, before, during and after the program. Without the best team-work that we gave on that time, we will not able to receive such positive feedback, not only from the students but also from the teachers as well. Most of the participants even asking for the next Young Historian 2.0 hahah, inshaAllah HISTFORIUM is looking forward for this.
6. I did my internship in 2017! Yes, I made it. Honestly speaking to do the internship at Museum is not the first choice because I dreamt to do it at TV Al-Hijrah. I want to expose myself in the area of broadcasting and something related to the documentary-making. Unfortunately, my application was humbly been rejected because the quota for the intern student in 2017 was over limit already.
NO means Next Opportunity.
I have already prepared my backup plan. So basically I listed 3 places for my internship, TV Al Hijrah, Istana Negara and Museum in Terengganu. So the first one has been crossed already, and I was in dilemma with the other two choices. After asking opinion from people who I can trust in this matter, then I proceed to the last choice, Museum in Terengganu.
Frankly speaking, I don't really have that so-called excitement for involving myself in the museum organization, yaaa even I'm History student but I was just like the typical layman that seeing museum is nothing to do with excitement. I chose to do my internship in Terengganu was because I want to add-up my photography skill with my uncle. Later, when I became part of the Museum's family, slowly I discovered the importance of Museum. Seriously! I learned a lot just after I finished my internship there. I would say that if I'll be going to any new places after this I'll make sure that Museum is a must visit for me.
I benefited this from the former Director of Terengganu State Museum, Tuan Haji Yusuf. He said during the meeting (Intern students only with him), "If we visit a museum, it is like we have graduated from a university." Becuase by visiting their museum we are not only can understand the history of the country but we can gain the information regarding the tradition, belief, economics and many more. Plus, he also said that this is also the reason why the matsalleh when they travel to any places most of the time the first place that they will visit is the museum.
Before I forgot, I would love to say that I have never regret to do my internship in Terengganu. I was not only being surprised by the structure of this museum's organization but I also learned to do taxidermy process kot and it was so exciting activity for me since I'm not from pure science student during school time. So here, I feel like doctor-doctor sangat.
Guys, there were so many things that I learned. So, enough for this part of the internship. Let me umbrellaying you guys with pictures.

There are much more to share regarding my activities at Terengganu State Museum. But I need to bear in mind that this is actually a very quick review of my 2017's wonderful experience. So yes, maybe later I will do a special update just for Internship experience (upon request, ok?)

- End of My Internship Journey -
6. Upgrading my Photography Skill. As I said, I went to Terengganu, not for fun or just to finish the internship requirement only, I went there to upgrade my photography skill. So here what I got.
A random shot.
Alhamdulillah, I gained what I planned to have. Not only in photography skill but also in my communication skill. I met with many new people in this field until at one point I was invited to shoot for the wedding. I don't know who's the bride and groom, only when I reached the house of the event, Abe Li said that this is rumah Orang Besar Terengganu and I was oh my God! hahaha. why he doesn't inform me early.
Alhamdulillah, the feeling of redah-sajalah finally gave a big impact for me. the very first time with a new people and basically my uncle didn't join me that time. Entahlah nak bragging apa lagi, haha cukup-cukup sajalah.
Just check out my Instagram account for my artwork @nabihahdzir.artwork. let those pictures speak everything. Btw, I admit that I am still newbie and my pleasure to learn with more sifus after this inshaAllah ;)
In Conclusion
2017 has left me with a lot of memories and mixed of feeling.
Sometimes I feel so happy, and sometimes feel so helpless. But the thing is, everything happens for the reason.
There must be a hikmah behind any event that happened in our life journey.
Just remember that the pain of yesterday is actually the best teacher to teach us how to become wiser in the days coming.
The pain is also to teach us on how to believe in ourselves and the capability to standing tougher than yesterday.
